Supplements: Vitamin D supplements can be prescribed, often starting with 50,000 IU weekly for two months, followed by a maintenance dose of 5,000 IU daily for another two months. Afterward, vitamin D levels should be tested. If the blood level reaches 30 ng/mL, a monthly dose of 50,000 IU can be taken for prevention.
